Katie Malley is a Safeguarding & Therapeutic Education Consultant with specialist skills in safeguarding, wellbeing and trauma informed practice. 

 

Katie supports organisations, practitioners and families to strengthen safeguarding practice, respond to trauma and attachment needs, and build confident, informed approaches to care and wellbeing.

Introduction 

I am Katie Malley and I work across education, health and therapeutic settings, bringing together safeguarding leadership, clinical experience and trauma-informed practice.

My approach is practical, relational and grounded in real-world systems. Whether I am supporting a school, supervising professionals or working with families, the focus is always on safety, understanding and sustainable change.

​

I am a qualified therapist, safeguarding specialist and trainer with experience across schools, early years, health and community settings.

​

My work includes safeguarding leadership, consultancy and training, alongside clinical practice with children, adults and families.

I am trained in:

  • DDP, Theraplay and Filial Therapy

  • Somatic and trauma-informed approaches

  • Baby and child development

  • Reflective supervision
